Description: This surrogate is intended for use with EIC 65065154000000, which represents emissions from fugitive windblown dust from pasture lands. The inventory methodology for this category is based on California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA) statistics. Emissions in this category include pasture, irrigated, pasture misc, pasture range. The LandIQ/DWR crop data has categories which include pasture, but mostly does not include grazing/rangeland. Therefore FMMP polygons representing grazing/rangland were also used in developing this surrogate. This surrogate is also used for EICs related to biological waste disposal (often land application) as well as managed burning and disposal related to range improvement. It is also used as a secondary surrogate for an EIC related to agricultural waste from livestock husbandary.
